October 22 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Sanat Karkat is a powerhouse in the world of Muslim representation, philanthropy, and event strategy. She is the Founder and CEO of UPROAR, a speaking agency that exclusively represents Muslim women. With a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from King’s College London and a certification in Fundraising Management from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, Sanat blends advocacy, strategy, and execution to drive meaningful impact.
Her talk will center on Palestine, weaving together personal stories, family and community experiences, and the lived realities of women on the ground. Sanat will shed light on how genocide disproportionately impacts Palestinian women—through higher rates of displacement, the loss of children and spouses, limited access to healthcare, and heightened vulnerability to gender-based violence. She will also connect these realities to broader frameworks of anti-colonial feminism, the resilience of feminist women in Gaza, and the role of international solidarity in supporting them.
